DNG Dove Naish Coronavirus Update

With the current Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak we at DNG Dove Naish LLP are continuing to take the necessary precautions as set out by the UK government and public health authorities. Our offices are temporarily closed to clients and visitors.

Most of our team are working from home continuing to complete our client’s accounts, payroll, VAT, tax returns as well as other accounting and business services during this time. Please be assured our team can be reached by telephone and email as normal.

Support during COVID-19

The Government are offering support and guidance to businesses affected by Coronavirus. Our teams are keeping up to date on the advice as it is published. Practical and financial support the government are currently offering includes:

• a Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme
• a self employed Income Support Scheme
• deferring VAT and Income Tax payments
• a Statutory Sick Pay relief package for small and medium sized businesses (SMEs)
• a 12-month business rates holiday for all retail, hospitality, leisure and nursery businesses in England
• small business grant funding of £10,000 for all business in receipt of small business rate relief or rural rate relief
• grant funding of £25,000 for retail, hospitality and leisure businesses with property with a rateable value between £15,000 and £51,000
• the Coronavirus Business Interruption Loan Scheme offering loans of up to £5 million for SMEs through the British Business Bank
• a new lending facility from the Bank of England to help support liquidity among larger firms, helping them bridge coronavirus disruption to their cash flows through loans
• the HMRC Time To Pay Scheme

There is also a helpline for those who will struggle to pay tax on time. It covers businesses and those who are self-employed and can also result in cancellation of interest/penalties. Please see below link for more information.
